In celebration of Women’s Day, Maluti Bus Service organised a special initiative to recognise and show appreciation for the women in our operational area. Collaborating with Dinkoeng Tented Camp and Tlholo Victory Financial Services, an exciting event was crafted to honour these remarkable women.
The day was planned with care: interested women were invited to purchase tickets priced at 150 Rand, granting them access to the Dinkoeng camp, a delicious meal with soft drinks and a day filled with entertainment. Maluti Bus Service played a significant role by providing free transportation for all women who had purchased these tickets, ensuring their journey to and from Dinkoeng Tented Camp was comfortable and hassle-free. On the event day, two buses were deployed to transport the ladies from the city to the camp and back.
The event kicked off at 10 AM and continued until 5:00 PM, allowing the women ample time to return home safely before dusk, as promised. Approximately 250 women attended, with a few choosing not to utilise the Maruti bus transportation services.
The feedback received from these women was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a strong desire for this event to become an annual tradition. It was heartwarming to witness the unity and empowerment that the event brought to the community’s women. This initiative was specifically designed to promote women’s empowerment and foster a sense of unity among them, and based on the feedback and results, we can confidently say that this goal was achieved.
